Chance Encounters- San Francisco
The main reason why I don't blog more often is the simple fact that I am downright too lazy to upload photos I have taken. That's why more than 80% of the time the photos you see here are credited to an outside blog source. This time, however, the pictures I took on a roadtrip along the Pacific Coast Highway up to San Francisco are too pretty to keep to myself. Hence, the bombardment of instagram posts as of lately.

Now that the World Cup has started, my days are spent transfixed on the TV screen. I'm not a huge sports person, but when it comes to soccer and anything related to the Spanish national team and FC Barcelona, I get really really excited. I just wish the States were more into soccer like the rest of the world. Vamos Espana! Even though they painfully lost their first match, I'll never loose faith in La Roja!
The latest earring trend called 'ear jackets' was mainly started by a boutique jewelry line called Jacquie Aiche. This trend blew up all over the blogs that I followed and I wanted a pair so badly after seeing them on Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere. It's the perfect mix of delicate + edgy but they were way way out of my budget. Fortunately, I found a budget friendly pair that were equally as cute at Bauble Bar! I seriously can't wait to get them in the mail!
As I continue to channel my inner European-ness and be totally immersed in all things World Cup for the next month, a lot of my time while watching matches is spent on Lonely Planet. For the past couple weeks, I have been carefully planning out all the additional excursions that I will be making while studying abroad in Barcelona. I've always wanted to travel alone and for three weekends this fall, I will be making quick solo trips to three countries! I'm always so surprised at how affordable flights are within Europe and Lonely Planet gives extremely great tips on budget traveling!
Cheers to all things World Cup!
