Following the current trend of doing things alone, sans personas, I recently attended a concert all alone (I traveled to Vienna and London alone while abroad). The circumstances of attending this concert alone was perfect since the venue was literally across the street from my college apartment. All I had to do was oh-so-carefully cross the street and enter the Moorish doors of the Shrine Hall. Most people wouldn't dream of going to a social activity alone for fear of looking like a loner or the unnecessary strain of craning your neck, pretending like you're looking for your invisible friend amongst the crowd. Regardless of popular anxiety, I had the best time at this concert. It was a completely new experience (not to mention an absolutely amazing performance) and it couldn't have been a better artist to see live while alone. It's a memory that I can personally cherish. A special moment that I have just for myself. Cheers Ben Howard for making this experience sublime, I wouldn't have had it anyway.
